Prep from 1979 to 1983. His academic path led him to the University
of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he studied Construction Engineering and

Entering the Construction World
After graduation, Bill started his career in the
construction industry with Peter Kiewit Sons, one of the largest
construction firms in the U.S. This hands-on experience in field engineering

telecommunications and broadband networks.
Rising Through the Telecom Ranks
Bill’s career gained momentum as he moved into leadership roles in the telecom

Continuing his entrepreneurial path, Bill founded Open
Range Communications, where he also served as Chairman and CEO. This
